Baton Rouge Louisiana

Baton Rouge is the home to LSU and Coach Les Miles.

The capital city of the Cajuns' state is Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Baton Rouge is located in the southeast section of Louisiana. Baton Rouge is approximately 80 miles to the northwest of New Orleans, 55 miles to the east of Lafayette, and 260 miles to the southeast of Shreveport. While Baton Rouge is just outside of Acadiana (the 22 parishes settled by the Acadians), the Cajun influence on the city is evident.
