Bonus Crawfish Recipes

We have already talked about a lot of Cajun recipes in other sections, but I wanted to save a few of my favorite crawfish recipes for this. While I love to eat just about every Cajun food that you can imagine, I do believe that these are some of the very best. We hope that you enjoy them. Crawfish Bread Recipe
This is a bread that will knock your socks off! I got this recipe for crawfish bread from an old Cajun woman that truly knows how to cook. If you don't like the final product as much as I do, it's probably because you didn't make it right. Trust me folks, this is really, really good!
Ingredients:
- 1 chopped white onion
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cups of chopped green onions
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1/3 cup of roux
- 1/2 teaspoon of basil
- 2 tablespoons of minced garlic (or more, I like a lot!)
- 2 pounds of Louisiana crawfish tails
- 1 small can of Ro-Tel tomatoes
- 1 can of cream of shrimp soup
- 1/2 cup of chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 pound of shredded cheese (any kind you want to use)
- 1 cup of grated parmesan
- 4 loaves of French bread
- 1/4 cups of water
Instructions:
- In a heavy pot or skillet, melt the butter and saute the celery, onions, and bell pepper until they are soft.
- Add the water and turn the heat up until it boils.
- Add the chicken broth, roux, garlic, and basil. Let it reaching the boiling point again and then turn it down to medium for 5 minutes.
- Add the Ro-Tel, Louisiana crawfish tails, cream of shrimp, green onions, parsley, Cajun seasoning, and salt.
- Mix well and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until it is fairly thick.
- Place your bread on a cooking pan and spread the cheese on them. Place it in the oven until it melts the cheese.
- Spread the cooked mixture on the French bread. Spread the parmesan on top and return it to the oven to brown it.

Crawfish Pasta Recipe
I'm a big fan of Italian food, but you know that I love Cajun food the most. This fantastic crawfish pasta recipe does a great job at blending both of my favorite worlds together. You should enjoy this one!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of Louisiana crawfish tails (nope, you can't use the Chinese junk!)
- 1 stick of real butter (no fake stuff!)
- 1 pint of half & half
- 5 cloves of chopped garlic
- 1 group of green onions chopped
- 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of Tabasco
- 1 pound of cooked pasta (whatever kind you want to use)
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in your heavy skillet and saute the garlic and onions until they are soft.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, tabasco, and half & half.
- Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
- Lower the heat to a low setting.
- Add the pasta and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Enjoy the great Cajun pasta! You can spice it up a bit with another dash or two of Tabasco (I do!).
