One of the most unique and interesting Cajun musicians ever, Wayne Toups has thrilled crowds around the world for over two decades. If you have never been to a Wayne Toups concert, I can't tell you how much fun you are missing out on. The man mixes rock, Cajun, and zydeco into a style of music that is unlike anything else we have ever heard. Wayne Toups is electric, a blast to listen to and watch perform, and a great representative of South Louisiana.

"Is Wayne Toups A Cajun?"
Wayne Toups was born in Crowley, Louisiana (yes, the same city that Edwin Edwards started practicing law in) on October 2, 1958. His family was rice farmers, as many families are in Crowley, and his parents were French speaking Cajuns. Enough said. Wayne Toups is 100% Cajun!
When Wayne Toups was only 13 years old, he began winning local accordion playing contests. Over the years his style of playing progressed as he began blending rock, zydeco, and Cajun music styles. In fact, Wayne Toups calls his music Zydecajun. He has brought his unique Cajun music (Zydecajun) to fans around the world while performing in concerts in more than 26 countries. He has played with some of the biggest stars including George Jones, Allan Jackson, Sammy Kershaw, and Garth Brooks. Wayne Toups music has even been featured in the tremendously successful movie Steel Magnolias, and the television show Broken Badges.
"That's What I Love About My Baby" Lyrics and Music by Wayne Toups
I promised to the world
On a silver platter
But the promises I make
I couldn't keep
But at the time
The only thing that mattered
Was to find a way to sweep her off her feet
For the first time in my life
I have something special
She surrendered all her precious love to me
Each night I thank my lucky stars
And count my many blessings
Yes, I do
That's she puts all her faith in me
That's what I love about my baby
That's what my baby means to me
Yeah, that's I love about my baby
She means the world to me
Yeah!
Her lips are sweet as cotton candy
Warmer than all forgotten why (??)
Softer than silk, soaked in satin
But the best part of it all
Is she's all mine!
That's what I love about my baby
That's what my baby means to me
That's what I love about my baby
She means the world to me
Yeah!
That's what I love about my baby
That's what my baby means to me
That's what I love about my baby
She means the world to me
Yeah!
